New Shoulder & Sports Medicine Expert Joins Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center

Fellowship-trained shoulder and sports medicine surgeon Christopher C. Vasileff, MD, joins the team of experts at Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center on Sept. 3. With advanced training in sports medicine, Dr. Vasileff offers the latest treatments. As a fellowship-trained sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction surgeon, Dr. Vasileff specializes in care for injured athletes and active individuals. He has extensive experience in treating elite athletes, including Division I and Division II teams as well as minor league baseball teams. His expertise includes:

  • Shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle arthroscopy for minimally invasive repairs.
  • Rotator cuff repair.

Dr. Vasileff received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Continuing his training, he underwent an orthopaedic surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak & Taylor in Royal Oak, Michigan. Then rounding off his training, he completed an orthopaedic shoulder reconstruction and sports medicine fellowship at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina.
